C. Work Experience (Descending Order):

I..

ISC Consulting Engineers, Qatar

Sept'96 - current

Position: Process Engineer

Seconded to Occidental Petroleum, Qatar: To function as process engineer for the hook-up of 200,000 BPD separation platform to existing facilities. Activities carried out are:

On site I was working with the instrument staff on the DCS panel in providing the needed input for startup and stabilizing liquid levels in the separators. Subsequent to plant stabilization I prepared a proposal for re-drawing the deluge and fire protection system P&ID’s for the PS-1 Complex as the available documents are not represented well.

Seconded to Ramboll Oil and Gas, Qatar: Assignment was to prepare a quantity of work for routing a 6" pipeline and a 4" return line from the petrochemical plant to the additives plant. Work also involved checking the drawings prepared for the project P&ID’s, GA’s and Isometric.

Seconded to elf Petroleum Qatar for making a GA drawing for the new flow lines hook-up to existing manifold on their offshore platform. Conducted detailed site measurement for routing 4" lines from 5 wells to 20" manifold. Successfully executed related drawings in the office and issued for construction.

Projects for Qatar General Petroleum Corporation. Work involved enhancing the P&ID’s for the offshore complex by showing new ESD logic, posting flags on continuation arrows and indicating operating parameters and equipment basic data on the drawings. Also worked out proposal for breathing apparatus cascade piping for a new escape capsule on Marinia.

Rented to Occidental Petroleum to estimate the quantity of work involved in updating P&ID’s for the remote wells, separation, compression, Glycol regeneration, sour water and utility systems. P&ID’s developed during various work packs was collected and studied to create one unique P&ID. A quotation was prepared for execution of this work at our design office which involved CAD work, and checking of total 250 P&ID’s for continuity.

Worked for Qatar Fertilizer Company in modifying the P&ID for stage iii expansion. Prepared water injection proposal for elf petroleum. Carried out necessary CAD works for the same.

II..

Aquatic Engineering, Doha, State of Qatar.

Feb’96 - August ‘96

Position: Chief Design Draughts-man.

Stationed offshore for 3 months on Occidental Platform to line walk on the process and utility piping and red-mark on a total of 98 P&ID’s . Discussed with operating staff on permanent and temporary facilities to be documented. Collected process operation data and studied fire water system and escape capsule launching procedure. In design office I was responsible for checking the correctness of CAD incorporation.

Authored two nos. operating procedures one on fire water system and other on escape capsule and life-rafts. The procedure illustrated the operating description, startup, blanking, isolation and re-instatement works targeted to serve the control room staff.
